River bank stabilization project to help protect a beautiful Mono cottage. At this site the River had been eroding the bank for decades. In the past few years there had been a number of heavy storm flows that threatened to collapse the patio adjacent to the River and even the cottage itself.
Taking on a project like this is no small feat. Ensuring that impact to fish and wildlife would be minimized, proper permits and approvals were in place, right down to sourcing local rocks so that they would blend in with the natural environment along the River was all apart of the undertaking.
In the end this cottage has a sturdy barrier to help maintain the bank for the next storm event. The rocks will provide new area for fish and other creatures to call home and our client can continue to enjoy their beautiful view of the River.
