What to Do in an Emergency
Call Allto Construction and provide the property location, a clear description of the problem, when it began and whether water, sewage, utilities, traffic or public safety are involved.
Photos, videos and information about site access can help our team understand what equipment and personnel may be required.
If there is an immediate threat to life, fire, gas, electrical infrastructure or public safety, contact 911 and the appropriate utility or municipal emergency department first. Do not enter an excavation, flooded area, confined space or sewage-contaminated area.
Sewer and Water Emergencies
Broken watermains, damaged service lines and sewer failures can interrupt essential service and cause property damage, erosion and unsafe site conditions.
Allto Construction can provide excavation, hydrovac exposure, dewatering support, repair coordination, granular backfill, compaction and surface-restoration support depending on the issue and the authority responsible for the infrastructure.
Municipal and utility approvals may be required before excavation or repairs can proceed.
Emergency Septic Service
Warning signs of an urgent septic problem can include sewage backing up into the building, wastewater surfacing outdoors, an overflowing tank, slow fixtures throughout the property or a high-water alarm.
Emergency pumping can provide temporary relief in some situations, but it does not repair every septic problem. Failed pumps, blocked piping, damaged components and disposal-bed problems may require additional diagnosis and repair.
Drainage, Flooding and Washouts
Heavy rain, snowmelt, blocked drainage systems and failed culverts can cause flooding, erosion, washouts and unsafe access conditions.
Depending on the site, emergency work may include clearing an obstruction, creating temporary drainage, installing or repairing culverts, placing stone, rebuilding access and stabilizing damaged areas until a permanent solution can be completed.
Equipment and Experienced Crews
Allto Construction operates excavation equipment, hydrovac trucks, septic pumping equipment, tandem and tri-axle dump trucks and other construction equipment required for emergency site work.
Having multiple capabilities within one company can reduce coordination delays when an emergency requires excavation, pumping, hauling, backfilling and restoration.
Emergency Pricing and Authorization
Emergency work may involve after-hours labour, mobilization, specialized equipment, disposal fees, materials and third-party services. Pricing depends on the response required and the conditions found on site.
Where circumstances allow, the expected rates and initial authorization will be discussed before crews are dispatched. Some emergencies require an initial assessment before the full repair scope can be determined.
Serving South Central Ontario
